Fabrizio Calebasso, born in Geneva in 1986, grew up in Lugano, and obtained a degree in Science and environmental technology at the University of Bologna. A lover of high altitude he made his bones ascending the 4000 metre peaks of Switzerland on foot and with skis. His passion for climbing brought him to bolt a variety of multi pitch routes and crags in the Canton Ticino area as well as some important dry tooling routes, which he took to due to his proficiency with ice picks. For a number of years he has spent his summer months in Courmayeur climbing numerous routes on the Mont Blanc, including a significant amount of the classics. He is currently enrolled in the Swiss Alpine Guides formative course.
Matteo Pasquetto, born in Varese in 1994, from an early age he has lived in close contact with nature, exploring the forests of Varese and the mountains of Ticino and Ossola. He developed this passion through trekking and then, as of 2012, climbing and skiing. This huge passion turned into a profession in 2016 when he became an Alpine Guide. In 2020, with a group of Guides, instructors and friends, he founded Oltrelaverticale. He first came into contact with the Mont Blanc approximately 5 years ago, immediately discovering it as a playing field that intrigued him. Over the years he has climbed numerous routes, of which he remembers with particular pleasure Divine Providence and Groucho Marx, two beautiful journeys across the peaks of this massif.
